November 18th November 2020- 19th November 2020

During this lesson, my classmates and I was introduced to Pen portrait by watching a video. The purpose of a pen portrait is to have an informal description of a person or group of people, this may include skills, competencies, and attributes. Here is my first try on a pen portrait about myself.

Corrie Lawrence began her journey in teaching at the Nevis Academy Primary School and taught for six months at grade one. Ms Lawrence enjoyed working with children and decided to take it a step further by becoming enrolled at the Clarence Fitzroy Bryant College in the primary education program.

Ms Lawrence has gained writing skills, experience, and became an effective communicator and listener. She is now able to get a message across in a clear and succinct manner not only in her writing but also in her day to day communication.

Ms. Lawrence has developed good leadership and works great during teamwork. She is very responsible and good at problem solving. She can construct her piece of writing and use details and information to further develop her piece of writing. she can utilise illustrations and analogies that help students to gain insights about the topic or concept.

Ms. Lawrence consider herself kind, responsible, hardworking, patient and organised. These attributes allows her to be more of an effective teacher as she will be able to get a bond and guide the students by modelling these attributes.

Overall, Ms. Lawrence has progress into a capable and diligent writing teacher who caters to her students writing needs effectively and can be able to support her students though the writing process.
